If we do do The Day After Ragnarok, then everyone will get some extra. If 'American' then an extra skill, if British Empire double money (or maybe half money if not British?), other may give survival. But no matter what, don't choose this until we all meet, I think it is important to discuss as a group, since I am going to be really stingy with default rolls with such a big group.
I guess I'm lost on what we are playing. realistic characters based loosely on ourselves? ourselves? Brits?
ReplyDelete??
We will make chars tonight, but they are most likely The Day after Ragnarok chars so inspired by you but 1950's and maybe American, or British. But I keep teetering between Zombie mondern and Ragnarok alt history, so it is still up in the air, and the start is neither. I want to talk it over to nail it down. Sorry
ReplyDeleteOK, so I have questions about the Ragnarok campaign:
ReplyDeleteIs the world actually going to be the post apocalyptic world where things are bleak, or not?
From the initial description, its bleak and close to falling apart, but in the book it lists things like cab fare or cruise tickets...
So if I spend the money on a Jeep, toolkit, and skills to drive and repair it, is it going to matter? Or are people going to be dressing in their Stetsons and catching cabs to the night clubs?
It is generally pretty bleak. Australia is pretty much untouched. California is under marshall law and probably running at like a depression level economy. Texas is not under marshall law and probably doing about as well as CA. The eastern parts of the US totally suck, barely surviving roaving bandits. I think you guys will be starting in a city in the broken part of the US.
ReplyDeleteok, sounds good. I've got an Ophi-tech that is hiding from Ophi trying to make his way into being a professional driver (getting Ace and McGyver along the way) and help right the wrongs done by Ophi to the world and making a pretty penny along the way.
DeleteI've got a hunk-a-junk jeep that keep breaking down (but its got it where it counts-haha) - but I've got a toolkit in the trunk and a good repair skill for when it breaks down. If anyone needs a ride, I can fit 3 more in the cab and possibly find a trailer to haul 2-4 more.
Character sheet on drive.
